'Eat Me, Hun' is based off of both 'Bowl O' Teeth and the , and is part of a costume that I plan to wear with the Lidl Vuitton Dress. This necklace portrays the feminist and domestic traits of the ideal female - the glamorous and the cook. This work is loosely based off John James Perangie's work 'All Dressed Up in Pearls and Nowhere to go', this piecesI found on Instagram, one comment connected to the Pearl piece is 'Domestic Bliss is getting to her'. Not only does the presumption that the person doing domestic work is a female - which is strikingly sexist, but the use of the adjective 'bliss' also intrigued me. As this word suggests an activity of ease and that domestic, ‘women’s work’ isn’t hard at all.
