Bowl O' Teeth (Mixed Media Sculpture) is a continuation of my interest of unhealthy food, combined with misleading advertising, portraying them as 'healthy'. The sculpture starts this project by representing any generic cereal - commenting on the amount of sugar in the products - which is a high offender for children's tooth decay, especially American cereals, which in UK supermarkets reside in the sweets/chocolate isle. The bright colour palette inspired by Rachel Maclean, is used to represent the consumer's naivety, when it comes to serving breakfast cereal - not by their own fault, but Western society's. With many cereals adopting bright colourful branding toot only advertise and entice the target market of children - but to also reinsure the parents that it is safe, and nutritious for their child.
